Product Designer

As a Product Designer at Seel, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our platform. You will collaborate with developers to design and iterate on features, ensuring that they are not only functional but also aligned with the needs of our users—private equity and venture capital professionals. You will have ownership over the entire design process, with input from the executive team, from conceptualizing new features to refining existing elements.
Seel is an innovative SaaS platform designed to simplify and enhance private equity and venture capital deal execution by automating key tasks like qualifying deals, conducting due diligence, and writing investment memos. We’re seeking a Product Designer to bring the vision of our platform to life. You will work closely with our UX/UI developer and back-end developer to deliver a seamless, intuitive, and user-friendly product experience for our clients in the alternative investment space
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and Prototyping: Create wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes for the platform, ensuring a visually appealing and user-friendly interface.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the UX/UI developer and back-end developer to ensure that designs are technically feasible and align with the functionality of the platform.
- User Research: Conduct user research and feedback sessions to understand the needs and pain points of alternative investment professionals, incorporating insights into the design process.
- Iterative Development: Engage in rapid iteration of designs based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and developers to refine the platform experience.
- Feature Design: Lead the design of new features, from the idea stage through to implementation, ensuring that they meet user needs and company goals.
- Visual Design: Maintain consistency across the product by developing and adhering to design systems, visual language, and brand guidelines.
- User Testing: Facilitate user testing sessions to ensure usability and ensure designs enhance the user journey.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with developers and other stakeholders to bring the platform vision to life.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as a Product Designer, preferably in a SaaS or tech company.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your design process and problem- solving skills.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent.
- Experience in UX/UI design and user-centered design principles.
- Familiarity with the alternative investment, venture capital, or private equity industries (preferred but not required).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to iterate quickly and work in an agile development environment.
- Knowledge of user research methodologies and usability testing.
